Project: Cevahir AVM – Outdoor Sculpture Installation

Alice Scenic Studios has carried out the turnkey design and production of a sculpture series consisting of large-scale and stylized human figures that color the entrance areas of the mall and greet visitors, as part of the anniversary celebrations for Istanbul Cevahir AVM.

• Productions Within Scope:
  • Numerous large-scale human sculptures, each designed in a different color and pose (shopping, reading a newspaper, resting, etc.), to be placed on the mall’s entrance stairs and facade.
  • Custom-designed decorative objects that complete the themes of the sculptures, such as shopping bags and balloons.
  • Speech bubbles placed on the sculptures, containing messages specific to the event.
• Materials and Techniques Used:
  • All of the sculptures were produced with the fiberglass (FRP) molding technique, which provides high durability against outdoor conditions and impacts in a public space.
  • On the surfaces, vibrant and glossy automotive paints durable against UV rays and weather conditions were used.
  • The 3D designs and mold models of the stylized human figures were prepared using digital sculpting and modeling software such as ZBrush and Rhino and with the CNC machining technique.
• Project Objectives and Benefits Provided:
  • A special event for Cevahir AVM, such as its anniversary, was celebrated and announced.
  • The mall’s entrance area was transformed into an instant art gallery for visitors, creating an inviting and energetic welcoming atmosphere.
  • Organic promotion and high engagement on social media were encouraged by motivating visitors to take photos with the sculptures.
  • Large-scale, durable, and visually impressive sculptures were produced to be displayed in a public space and under outdoor conditions.
