Project: Christmas Frankfurt – Thematic Character Sculptures

Alice Scenic Studios has carried out the turnkey production of large-scale and high-detail 3D sculptures with a New Year/Christmas theme, featuring world-famous animation characters, for the city of Frankfurt.

• Productions Within Scope:
  • Santa Claus, his sleigh, and his reindeer.
  • The Penguins, characters from the animated movie “Madagascar,” and their thematic accessories (camera, police hat, etc.).
• Materials and Techniques Used:
  • All character sculptures were produced using the fiberglass (FRP) molding technique to ensure full durability against outdoor conditions.
  • Precise artistic painting and airbrush techniques were applied, adhering to the original designs and colors of the characters.
  • Faux fur and other mixed media were used on the reindeer figure to add textural richness.
  • The 3D designs and mold models of the characters were prepared using digital sculpting and modeling software such as ZBrush, Maya, and AutoCAD, and with the CNC machining technique.
• Project Objectives and Benefits Provided:
  • A center of attraction was created for the city of Frankfurt that would draw great interest from visitors, especially children, during the New Year/Christmas season.
  • Visitors were offered the opportunity to meet familiar and beloved characters through the production of licensed and high-quality replicas of world-famous animation characters.
  • Iconic spots were created that would greatly contribute to the city’s seasonal promotion, which visitors would photograph and share on social media.
