Project: Christmas Themed Productions & 3D Sculptures

Alice Scenic Studios has carried out the turnkey design and production of large-scale and interactive decors for the common areas of a shopping mall, combining both classic and modern themes for the Christmas season.

• Productions Within Scope:
  • Nutcracker & Music Theme: Large-scale Nutcracker soldier sculptures, a gift-laden train, a piano-keyboard-form tree, and other musical decorative objects.
  • Classic Santa’s Sleigh Theme: A stylish Santa’s sleigh with carved and gold leaf details, positioned under a large Christmas tree.
• Materials and Techniques Used:
  • Large and detailed sculptures like the Nutcracker and the sleigh were produced with techniques such as hard coating over CNC-machined styrofoam (EPS foam) or fiberglass (FRP) molding.
  • A combination of classic and modern painting techniques, such as high-quality lacquer paint and gold leaf, were used on the surfaces in line with the themes.
  • 3D modeling and digital sculpting software such as AutoCAD, 3ds Max, and ZBrush were utilized during the design and project planning phases.
• Project Objectives and Benefits Provided:
  • A holistic decoration concept with both modern/stylized and classic/elegant themes was created for different areas of a shopping mall for the Christmas season.
  • Interactive and unforgettable photo opportunity areas were created, offering visitors, and especially children, a different fairytale world each.
