Project: Christmas World – Gingerbread Man Sculptures

Alice Scenic Studios has carried out the turnkey design and production of a joyful and fairytale world concept, starring gingerbread man characters, for the Christmas season.

• Productions Within Scope:

• Numerous gingerbread man character sculptures in different poses and expressions, each telling its own story.

• Large-scale and colorful confectionery/pastry themed decorative objects such as candy canes, macarons, and cupcakes.

• Thematic compositions in which the characters are placed, such as a tower of cups and a sandcastle.

• Materials and Techniques Used:

• The characters and thematic objects were produced with different techniques that provide high detail and outdoor durability, such as hard coating over CNC-machined styrofoam (EPS foam) or fiberglass (FRP) molding.

• The impressive facial expressions and “cookie” texture of the characters were brought to life with detailed artistic painting and airbrush techniques.

• High-quality lacquer paint applications were made on objects like candy canes for a glossy and smooth appearance.

• The 3D designs and mold models of the characters were prepared using digital sculpting and modeling software such as ZBrush and Rhino and with the CNC machining technique.
