Project: Gingerbreads Themed Productions & 3D Sculptures

Alice Scenic Studios has carried out the turnkey design and production of an interactive gingerbread house concept that offers a fairytale world to visitors during the winter and New Year season for the common areas of shopping malls.

• Productions Within Scope:
  • Large-scale gingerbread houses with different designs, which visitors can enter or take photos around.
  • Stylized gingerbread trees, decorated with snow and icing details, to complete the concept.
• Materials and Techniques Used:
  • Large and voluminous structures like the gingerbread house and trees were produced with different techniques such as hard coating over CNC-machined styrofoam (EPS foam) or fiberglass (FRP) molding.
  • Special textured coatings and artistic painting techniques were applied on the surfaces to create a realistic “cookie” texture and “icing” appearance.
  • High-quality lacquer paint applications were used on details like the colorful candy roof for a glossy look.
  • 3D modeling and digital sculpting software such as AutoCAD, Rhino, and ZBrush were utilized during the design and project planning phases.
