Project: Mahsun Restaurant – Thematic Decor & Sculptures

Alice Scenic Studios has carried out the turnkey design and production of all thematic decors and sculptures that constitute the unique and powerful artistic concept of the Mahsun restaurant.

• Productions Within Scope:
  • A giant, artistically painted bull sculpture suspended from the ceiling at the venue’s entrance, carrying miner figures on its back.
  • Stylized bull head decors placed on the restaurant walls, some integrated with lamps.
  • Sculptures of miners in various poses, placed in unexpected areas such as on the ceiling beams.
• Materials and Techniques Used:
  • Large-scale and complex sculptures like the bull and miners were produced with the fiberglass (FRP) molding technique.
  • The multi-layered and patterned appearance on the sculptures was achieved by using a combination of artistic painting, aging, and graphic application techniques.
  • 3D software such as ZBrush, Maya, and AutoCAD were utilized during the design and modeling phases for the organic forms and dynamic poses of the sculptures.
  • For the safe installation of the suspended bull sculpture, custom engineering calculations and concealed steel construction suspension systems were designed and implemented.
