Executive Summary

This interactive climbing experience was developed from a concept provided by the client’s design team. Alice Scenic Studios was responsible for the engineering development, technical detailing, fabrication, and installation support required to transform the approved design intent into a fully manufacturable and installable attraction.

Throughout the project, our team prepared comprehensive 2D technical shop drawings, coordinated 3D production models, and manufacturing documentation while incorporating client-directed revisions during the development and fabrication process.

Engineering Development & Technical Documentation

  • Developed the approved concept into a coordinated production package for fabrication and installation.
  • Produced comprehensive 2D technical shop drawings and 3D fabrication models for the structural and architectural components.
  • Incorporated client-requested revisions throughout the engineering and fabrication process.

Structural Steel Fabrication

  • Fabricated a modular structural steel framework designed for efficient manufacturing, transportation, and site assembly.
  • Applied a durable baked powder-coated finish to all exposed steel components.

Custom Millwork

  • CNC-machined plywood panels inspired by the organic forms of mangrove root systems.
  • Fabricated textured walking surfaces and architectural wood elements in accordance with the approved project documentation.

Climbing Rope System

  • Fabricated and installed custom climbing rope assemblies.
  • Integrated custom rope anchoring hardware into the structural framework in accordance with the approved fabrication drawings.

Safety Net System

  • Installed flame-retardant and UV-resistant safety netting specified for the project.
  • Fabricated and installed perimeter lashing systems for proper net integration and tensioning.

Scenic Fabrication

  • Fabricated the overhead spiral canopy and scenic architectural elements to complete the immersive visitor experience.
