Project: Cahide – Thematic Decor & Sculpture Production

Alice Scenic Studios has carried out the turnkey design and production of numerous custom-designed sculptures and decors that reflect the eclectic, artistic, and maximalist identity of the brand for Cahide, Istanbul’s iconic entertainment venue.

  • Productions Within Scope:
    • Large-scale and high-detail sculptures and figures designed for different points in the venue.
    • Unique designs where classical statues are reinterpreted with modern and theatrical elements (masks, jewels, feathers).
    • Anthropomorphized animal figures dressed in historical costumes and mythological creatures (Pegasus, sphinx, etc.).
    • Functional decors such as carved and gold-leafed horse figures used as interior dividers.
  • Materials and Techniques Used:
    • The main bodies of all sculptures and figures were produced with the fiberglass (FRP) molding technique, which makes complex forms possible.
    • Digital sculpting software such as ZBrush and Maya were utilized during the design and modeling phases for organic and detailed forms.
    • Multi-layered artistic painting and patina techniques giving aging, bronze, and gold leaf effects were applied on the surfaces.
    • In the final touches of the sculptures, a wide variety of mixed media such as fabric, feathers, metal chains, and jewels were used in line with the concept.

    • Completely venue-specific sculptures and decors that reflect the eclectic, artistic, and maximalist identity of an iconic entertainment venue were created.
    • Every corner of the venue was transformed into a visual feast and an unforgettable experience full of surprises for the guests.
    • Dozens of artistic and iconic “photo points” that visitors would want to photograph and share were created, generating high engagement on social media.
    • Complex designs that require high-quality and detailed hand craftsmanship were brought to life by combining a wide variety of materials such as fiberglass, metal, wood, and textiles.
