Project: Better Together – TV Studio Set

Alice Scenic Studios has carried out the turnkey design and production of the entire set for the “Better Together” talk show, including its main architectural feature, an 8-ton ceiling decor.

  • Scope of Work:
    • The production and installation of a custom-designed, 8-ton suspended ceiling decor made of wood construction, requiring significant engineering and manufacturing expertise.
    • The manufacturing of a multi-level circular platform in the center, featuring an illuminated and patterned top panel.
    • The production of the set’s background, consisting of large, curved library units and 3D decorative wall panels.
  • Materials and Techniques Used:
    • The main structure of the 8-ton ceiling decor was created with an engineered, robust, and lightened wood construction and metal joining elements.
    • The platform, library, and other decorative elements were produced using wood, MDF, and composite panels.
    • 3D software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and 3ds Max were utilized during the design and engineering processes, especially for the static calculations and visualization of the ceiling construction.
    • The circular structure of the central platform and other curved parts were precisely manufactured using the CNC cutting technique.
    • LED lighting systems and translucent acrylic panels were used on the top surface of the platform to provide homogeneous light distribution.
  • Project Objectives and Benefits Provided:
    • A bright, spacious, and trustworthy studio atmosphere was created for an inspiring and positive talk show.
    • The custom-designed, 8-ton ceiling decor, which forms the main architectural identity of the studio, was successfully built and installed.
    • A functional layout suitable for multiple camera angles was created, offering both circular conversation areas and different presentation corners.
    • A sincere and positive feeling was evoked in the viewer by combining elements like wood, an illuminated floor, and soft colors.
