Alice Scenic Studios carried out the production of the studio set for the world-famous game show “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?” as a turnkey project, combining the format’s iconic design with modern and technological elements.

  • Scope of Work: 
    • In accordance with international format standards, turnkey project management was provided, covering the design, engineering, production, and assembly of the studio set.
  • Key Features and Design Details: 
    • In the center of the studio, a multi-level and circular stage platform surrounding the contestant and host was built.
    • Programmable LED light paths, reflecting the program’s tension and energy, were integrated into the floor and platform edges.
    • The iconic “V” shaped separator, which has become the signature of the format, was custom-produced to sit between the contestant and host.
    • The live audience stands were designed to support the studio’s circular and arena-like atmosphere.
  • Materials and Techniques Used: 
    • The main structure of the set was created by cladding a metal construction with wood and composite panels.
    • The platforms and floor were finished with high-gloss lacquer paint or special floor coverings that reflect light.
    • 3D modeling and visualization software such as AutoCAD, Rhino, and 3ds Max were used during the design and engineering phases.
    • CNC cutting techniques were utilized for the manufacturing of the circular forms and precise details.
    • For the light paths on the floor and platforms, programmable LED systems and translucent acrylic/polycarbonate diffusers were integrated.
