TV Studio Set – Design & Fabrications – Stonefruit Studio

Alice Scenic Studios brought the “Stonefruit Studio” project to life as a turnkey solution, creating a multi-purpose performance and recording studio that is both acoustically and aesthetically flawless.
Inspired by nature and guided by modern technology, the design delivers a fluid, organic atmosphere that surrounds artists and audiences alike, offering a one-of-a-kind sensory and creative experience.

Key Project Features

• Tree-Form Columns and Ceiling Structure
  Parametrically designed wooden columns and beams rise from the floor and branch out across the ceiling, resembling the canopy of a tropical grove. This structure functions as both the main aesthetic feature and supportive framework of the venue.

• Organic Textured 3D Wall Panels
  A three-dimensional wooden wall cladding reminiscent of river stones was crafted with advanced CNC techniques, adding depth and a natural rhythm behind the stage.

• Circular Wooden Stage
  A central, circular performance stage featuring custom inlay patterns in different wood tones, designed as the focal point for live performances.

• Acoustic and Decorative Elements
  Custom-patterned acoustic panels were placed between the columns, providing sound diffusion and absorption, while maintaining a harmonious aesthetic balance.

Materials and Techniques Used

• Parametric Design & 3D Modeling
  All complex, organic forms were created using parametric modeling software such as Rhino, with every component digitally fabricated for precision.

• CNC Machining & Wood Lamination
  5-axis CNC routers were used to shape the wooden panels and structural columns, which were then assembled using wood lamination techniques to achieve durable and elegant forms.

• Acoustic Engineering
  The shapes and materials of all surfaces were defined through acoustic simulations, ensuring optimal sound diffusion, clarity, and warmth for professional recordings and live performances.
